Charge Enterprises

MVP to IPO in 3 years
Project Overview
Charge Enterprises began as a docking and charging solution for micromobility vehicles and evolved into a company focused on building the electrical infrastructure of the future, including EV charging and 5G networks.
Colab's Contribution
Colab played a foundational role in co-founding the company, rapidly developing its first MVP—a charging station creatively hacked together from a filing cabinet filled with different chargers for micromobility vehicles (shown below). As the company scaled, Colab designed and developed the supporting software applications that allowed users to locate and manage Charge Enterprises' charging solutions worldwide. Beyond the initial prototype, Colab provided ongoing strategic, design, and product support.
Journey & Impact
Colab guided Charge Enterprises from its early concept phase to a successful IPO in under three years, an impressive timeline for any company, especially one operating in a rapidly evolving sector like EV infrastructure. By starting with a simple yet functional prototype, Charge Enterprises was able to validate its concept quickly and attract investor interest early on. As the company expanded, it pivoted beyond micromobility to serve a broader EV and smart city infrastructure market, acquiring a 5G network company along the way. This ability to scale and evolve was made possible through Colab’s expertise in rapid iteration, market validation, and strategic execution. The success of Charge Enterprises is a testament to Colab’s ability to incubate ideas and transform them into industry-defining businesses with long-term impact.
